Look closely and you'll see that the dial text is in Spanish: \"Automatico\" and \"200M\/656 Pies,\" a small nod to the watch's Puerto Rican roots.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe hands are brushed silver: a sword-style hour hand and a bold arrow minute hand, both filled with the same vintage lume. The black seconds hand carries a lume pip, and its counterweight is a baby “tinglar” leather back sea turtle. The movement can be hand-wound and hacks (the seconds hand stops when you set the time). Because the 9039 has no date, the dial stays clean and symmetrical.The coin-edge dive bezel holds a black sapphire insert with vintage-toned markings that match the dial.
