DESCRIPTION
A triangle with two dots, eleven large numerals and the traces of a long life: the Memmingen Erbstück is a historically faithful, hand-aged pilot watch with a type A dial and hand-wound movement. It looks like a pilot watch from the 1940s that has found its way into the present.
Behind this impression lies genuine handcraft. Laco works the case, dial, hands and strap individually until the patina, scratches and discoloration look natural. This makes every Memmingen Erbstück one of a kind.
The construction follows the original as well: barrel shape, straight lugs, closed press-fit case back and a crown like that of the observation watch. Of the five historic manufacturers worldwide, Laco is the only one that still makes pilot watches in this construction today.
The hand-wound movement is wound daily via the crown, and the aged brown riveted vintage leather strap completes the picture.
